Software and Related Information

In addition to the COBE analysis software, two other software libraries, which were also developed at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, are potentially of interest to COBE data analysts:

• FITSIO - A subroutine interface to FITS files
• The IDL Astronomy User's Library

Most of the COBE data products are Flexible Image Transport System (FITS) files. Detailed information about the FITS standard may be obtained from the following ftp sites:
