Cosmic Background Explorer/FIRAS

The Chi-Squared files are used in the FIRAS temperature scale calibration. They contain pixel weights, degrees of freedom and chi-squared values. For a full discussion, see the FIRAS Explanatory Supplement (especially subsections 5.5 [link needed] and 7.7 ). 6 FITS files are available, corresponding to the FIRAS modes HRES, HIGH, LOWF and HIF(3 files). FITS headers are listed in the FIRAS Explanatory Supplement Appendix G.
