Description

These files contain the Atacama Cosmology Telescope (ACT) weight maps for temperature maps at 277 GHz. The weight maps give the number of observations (samples) per pixel. Production of the maps are described in Dunner et al (2013), "The Atacama Cosmology Telescope: Data Characterization and Mapmaking". The equatorial 277 GHz map (act_weight_map_277ghz_equatorial_2010.fits) is described in Gralla et al (2019), "Atacama Cosmology Telescope: Dusty star-forming galaxies and active galactic nuclei in the equatorial survey."

These data have been used soley for the study of millimeter emission and the Sunyaev-Zel'dovich effect in compact sources. Caution is advised for studies of larger modes, as in angular power spectrum studies.
