BIMA  Array   1 cm Capabilities

The table below outlines the specifications for the cm-waves receivers on the array during the summer. The receivers were developed by John Carlstrom and collaborators at the University of Chicago.

Telescopes: 9 (Antenna 3 not used)
RF frequency range: 27 - 36 GHz for all telescopes.
Bandwidth: standard BIMA backend
Receiver temperatures: 12 - 20 K at 27 - 30 GHz
  15 - 28 K at 30 - 36 GHz
Zenith System temperatures: 35 - 45 K SSB at 27 - 29.6 GHz where receiver response is SSB
  45 - 100 K SSB at 29.6 - 36 GHz where receiver response is DSB with large sideband ratio - try to put your science frequency in the lower sideband
