In determining the BIMA observing schedule, the minimum amount of time allotted to any project depends on the rank assigned by the time allocation committee. The 80% and 90% times are the minimum time ranges assigned to projects below and above the assigned cutoff score, respectively. All scheduled projects will be assigned at least the minimum number of hours or eight hours, whichever is smaller. Furthermore, the allocated time will be centered on the source's transit LST. The 95% HA range represents the maximum amount of time any project can be assigned. A project's time allocation is expanded beyond the minimum range only after all projects have been assigned their minimum time and there exists empty gaps before or after the project.
The results shown here are based on the BIMA memo Optimizing the Length of Observing Tracks with BIMA by Michael W. Regan and Richard J. Rand. Please refer to it for a more detailed explanation.
For each declination (input in degrees), the 80%, 90%, and 95% HA ranges will be computed and displayed. Since the HA range is (slowly) dependent on frequency, choose whether or not the observations will be near 12CO (115 GHz).
