AGACSE 2001
Information for Authors Publications of the conference proceedings is being managed by Leo Dorst. If everything runs smoothly, the published proceedings will be distributed at the conference. The original choice of deadline on Easter Sunday was perhaps not the most sensible, so instead treat the deadline as Tuesday April 17th. We then expect to check and process the papers in a few days and send them to the printers. Any late submissions will not make it into the proceedings. If possible, we would prefer to receive all papers in TeX or LaTeX format. If you have never used these, a useful alternative is to get hold of Scientific Workplace (or a similar package) from MacKichan software. This provides a wysiwyg interface to tex documents. If you are not a native English speaker and would like help with the final paper, contact Scitext. If you are a more experienced tex user, please take time to verify how your chapter will look in the book before you submit the files to us. To get an impressions of how your chapter will actually appear in the book you need to - download: ftp://ftp.birkhauser.com/cse/authortools/latex_macros/6x8mlt2e/6x8mlt2e.sty - download: ftp://ftp.birkhauser.com/cse/authortools/latex_macros/6x8mlt2e/book.tex If these links are broken, download the files here. - In book.tex, put the latex file which is your chapter as one of the chapters listed, for instance replace \include{ch01} by \include{chYOURNAME} - In book.tex, replace %\includeonly{ch01} by \includeonly{chYOURNAME} (note that you need to take out the % to un-comment the line) - Include any necessary \uespackage commands in the preamble to book.tex. - Now run LaTeX on book.tex
and you will get a structure for the book with a table of contents,
various extra pages denoting book parts, and also your chapter as it will
appear. (How the reference list appears is not important, the editors
will fix that later, just make sure all the info is there.)
