CPAC

Cambridge Planck Analysis Centre

In 2007 the Planck satellite (pictured below) will be launched by the European Space Agency (ESA) to begin a two year mission to measure the anisotropies of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) radiation with unprecendented accuracy. One of many vital mission components is the data analysis and simulation software which is being developed by scientists at a number of European institutions.

The Cambridge Planck Analysis Centre (CPAC), which is spread over three University of Cambridge departments - Cavendish Astrophysics, the Institute of Astronomy (IoA) and the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics (DAMTP) - is one of these consortia. These web pages are intended both to inform the astronomy community of recent results and publications, and also to act as a repository of information for team members.

A number of pages on this site are intended only for CPAC members, and cannot be accessed without a password.
