Positions, Distinctions and Activities

Alexander serves on the MERLIN TAG of PATT, and is chair of the Starlink software strategy group on Graphics and Infrastructure.

Baldwin was a member of the PPARC Astronomy Committee until March 1996.

Green continues to serve on the DRAO Observing Priorities committee, and is a member of the Starlink ``Information services and databases'' software strategy group (SSG).

Haniff is a member of the ESA Scientific Working Group MOFFIT, and also serves on the ESO VLT Interferometry Advisory Committee and the UK Adaptive Optics Steering Committee.

Hewish was awarded an Hon. Sc.D. from Cambridge University in 1996.

Hills served on PPARC's Research Assessment panel. He is a member of the JCMT Board and chairman of the JCMT Advisory Panel. He also serves on advisory panels for the NRAO's Green Bank Telescope and Millimeter Array, the Mexican/US Large Millimeter Telescope and the Smithsonian Sub-Millimetre Array project. He is a member of several committees concerned with ESA's FIRST and Planck projects.

Padman is Chair of PATT, and a member of the Ground Based Facilities Committee. She is also a member of the Australia Telescope Major National Research Facility technical advisory committee.

Pooley is a member of the OCSEAC subject committee (electronics).

Richer is a member of CCP7 and of the JCMT TAG of PATT.

Scott is a member of the ISO Management Committee, and of the Radioastronomy and Space Frequency Committee of the Radiocommunication Agency of the DTI. He served on the Merlin Steering Committee until 1996.

Titterington is a member of the Cambridge Astronomy Computing Committee and is Secretary of the Starlink ``Radio/MM-Wave'' software strategy group (SSG).

Warner is also a member of both the Cambridge Astronomy Computing Committee and the Starlink ``Radio/MM-Wave'' Software Strategy Group.
