Johan H. Knapen
I am a research astronomer at the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias in Tenerife and a visiting professor of astronomy at the University of Hertfordshire in the UK. I study the structure, dynamics and evolution of spiral galaxies, such as the one shown on the photo above, and the star formation occurring within them.
