Telecon Notes, April 19 2018
Attendance: Shaul, Brandon, Daniel, Clem, Charles, Mathieu, Soumen, Belen
Agenda:
- Update on maps + analysis
- Workshop
Notes (Shaul)
Analysis
- Clem was delayed by a proposal. Resolved to make progress this week.
- Mathieu is requesting three simplifications that are moving us away from reality: delta-function bands, fixed beam size/band, use nside 16. Mathieu says that these are the current Commander limitations.
- Soumen and Belen can handle varying resolution, and higher nside.
- There is a question about the pixel window function, Clem will check that this is done correctly.
- Question: there are no polarized point sources in the maps? CP: no. shouldn't be important for low \ell
- Belen: what is the expected dispersion of noise in the maps? MR: I don't know. Shaul says he should be able to calculate.
- Soumen: would like to have maps of the input components. CP: will provide.
- MR: do the maps have non zero r? CP: half will have r=0 and half non zero.
Workshop
- How do we quantify cleaning performance? Only sigma®? MR advocates looking at the reconstructed power spectrum.
