Action Items and Status

  • UMN to develop focal plane loading model including load from mirror(s) and cold stop as a function of temperature
    • Ongoing
  • JPL to develop scaling of cooling cost depending on what mass we cool to which temperature
  • Need input on feasibility and cost model of deployable shields
  • Roger to work on ASIC solutions to TDM, FDM
    • discuss with Matt
    • do wiring load trade-off between the two options
  • UMN, investigate DLFOV trade-off between crossed and open dragone Largely complete.
  • Amy, determine cost difference for larger mirrors
  • Brad, determine sidelobe analysis done for EPIC. How was galaxy contamination accounted for.
  • Amy, begin a matrix of possible science outputs.
    • First version sent to Shaul
  • Brad will revisit EPIC-IM sidelobe analysis, will report next week on what is required to fire up the analysis for CMBP. Answer: can repeat the analysis. Not clear that we need right now.
  • UMN follow up on coma corrections for the Dragone telescope
    • ongoing
  • UMN/Brad check on sidelobes for open Dragone system Open system doesn't have the near sidelobe that the crossed system has. And easier to implement a cold stop.
  • Amy will check whether there is anyone at JPL to run GRASP
  • Amy to provide feedback on sun-shield style, geometry, and explore deployable shields
  • UMN will investigate the Open Dragone (anyone else interested in exploring optical design?)
    • Ongoing
  • Shaul will communicate with Amy re: shields, including spherex shields.
  • Kris assessing impact of combination of alpha+beta
    • Ongoing
  • Jamie will post spherex's deployable design on the JPL wiki
