Notes:
E→B Coupling
- Eric posted analysis of beams that Karl sent. These are two orthogonal detectors at the center of the focal plane.
- He finds that, as expected, there is no Q→U coupling and no E→B coupling. So far all looks good, as expected.
- Next step: do the same for an off-axis beam.
- SH will contact Karl. The plan is to generate a 155 GHz beam at the location of the beam on the focal plane, and a ~40 GHz beam more toward the edge.
- SH will check the simulations parameters listed on the wiki.
- Kris+Jacques note that these simulations do not include sampling and time constant effects. SH says this is a second priority.
- Kris: what do the GRASP simulations include? SH: two reflectors and a stop. Don't expect shields to affect main lobe Q→U coupling. They should affect the far sidelobes.
Far Sidelobes
- As far as Shaul knows, Karl provided far sidelobes to Andrea/Julian. What is the status?
- SH will check with Andrea/Julian
Map Simulations
- Andrea is rerunning the map simulations
- Kris says that 2 year simulations is less useful than 2 independent 1-year simulations. He wants to check map differences. SH will relay
- We also discussed two different goals: 4 detector maps with single detector sensitivity, which will be useful for assessing calibration uncertainties; and, separately, full band sensitivity, which is useful for assessing band sensitivity to CMB. Kris advocates for having both. SH will relay
