Binding your thesis

Aparna tells us (on 14 Mar 2000): For those wanting to bind their theses nicely for family members or themselves, there is an option outside of the black vinyl/plastic options offered by Kinko's and the UC Copy room on the 3rd floor of the UC Bookstore. Go to the Textbooks section on the 2nd floor of the Bookstore, and they will bind your printed thesis (up to 550 pages) with a maroon cover, with gold letters on the spine, for $32. If your title is very long or you want the bound copies to be mailed to you, it costs extra. It takes about 6-8 weeks. Note that everyone in administration and in the Bookstore itself, including the information booth, will tell you repeatedly that there is no such facility offered by the University, but there is!
