Status of the project

The VSA finished observing in the compact array configuration in September '01, after a year of observing. Subsequent to several weeks work refitting the antennas with new, larger horns, and moving the antenna positions to a more widely spaced arrangement, observing with the extended array configuration has been continuing since October '01, and is due to be completed later this year.
