Our Participation in the PLANCK Mission

The Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC) participates in the Consortium of institutes which are designing and building the Low Frequency Instrument (LFI) of the PLANCK mission. In particular, the IAC is involved in the construction of the REBA (Radiometer Electronics Box Assembly).

Successful launch of Planck and Herschel on 14 May 2009 at 13:12:02 UTC, onboard an Ariane 5 ECA from Europe's spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana. More info at the ESA web page.
