Shooting Columbines
Colubines or Aquilegia as they are scientifically known are superb. Hence, I have been shooting them like mad. A few of the following shots are from our garden, the rest from Girton College or St John's College gardens. For more information about Columbines, here is a 6-page description on the BBC Gardening web site, and for a complete taxonomy, go to the Integrated Taxonomic Information System. The first image below, a sketch of the different species, was taken from Flora of North America. I hope they'll forgive my too brief reference. Of course the first image copyrighted to them!
