The Observations

TOCO97

Toco97's sky coverage of the South Celestial Pole. The colored lines indicate the sweep pattern of the chopper every 15 mins for the different beams.

In 1997, roughly 1150 hours of data was taken between 21 October and 15 December (downtime was 9%), of which about 43% was useful.

As the beams are swept on the sky, the Ka and Q channels are sampled 80 times per complete sweep (320 for D). These sweeps are multiplied by weighting vectors (synvecs) to yield an effective temperature corresponding to a multilobed beam on the sky. These synthesized beams are labeled by lobe number.
