Resources
LAMBDA collects educational materials from instructors willing to share with the community
at large. If you have something you would like to contribute, please
contact us!
Some of these resources make use of LAMBDA's online CAMB interface to
generate simulated power spectra and maps from a set of cosmological parameters.
A course written as a series of python notebooks intended to familiarize those
new to the CMB with the basic concepts of its simulation and analysis. Notebooks
are written by Jeff McMahon, Renee Hlozek, Mat Madhavacheril, Sigurd Naess, and
Alex Van Engelen.
Labs and Simulations contributed by Dr. Daniel M Smith Jr., South Carolina State University
LABS
are a combination of PDF files and simulations that require Mathmatica or the Mathmatica Player.
SIMULATIONS are animated GIF or require the Free Wolfram CDF Player
Class assignments contributed by Dr. Jodi Christiansen, California Polytechnic State University
Computing the Expansion History of the Universe:
PDF
High school classroom activities developed by teachers, education resource specialists, and researchers with the Cosmology Large Angular Scale Surveyor.
Activities are hands-on and inquiry-driven, in alignment with the Next Generation Science Standards.
Contributed by LAMBDA
A graphical teaching tool showing how the power spectrum varies as CMB parameters are adjusted. This was originally contributed by WMAP and has been rebuilt using
modern technology by LAMBDA.
