Description The beam functions for the ACT 277 GHz maps are the amplitude of the harmonic transform of beam profiles obtained from Saturn observations. For more information see Hasselfield et al (2013), "The Atacama Cosmology Telescope: Beam Measurements and the Microwave Brightness Temperatures of Uranus and Saturn." For application to unresolved source science see Gralla et al (2019), "Atacama Cosmology Telescope: Dusty star-forming galaxies and active galactic nuclei in the equatorial survey." These data have been used soley for the study of millimeter emission and the Sunyaev-Zel'dovich effect in compact sources. Caution is advised for studies of larger modes, as in angular power spectrum studies. The beam profiles are given in ASCII formatted files with the following columns: -the angle theta from beam center given in degrees At this time only the 2010 beam profile (act_beam_profile_277ghz_2010_desys_130224.txt) is available, corresponding to the equatorial 277 GHz data map. The beam functions are given in ASCII formatted files with the following columns: -the multipole moment ell At this time only the 2010 beam function (act_beam_function_277ghz_2010_desys_130224.txt) is available, corresponding to the 277 GHz equatorial data map. |
