ACT (AdvACT) Asteroid Observations (ACTeroids)

Description

We provide a .zip directory containing .fits files with lightcurves of asteroids made using ACT data as described in Orlowski-Scherer et al. (2024). All asteroids with a combined S/N > 5 in that dataset are included here.
Each fits is named {ast_name}_{weighting}_lc_night_{array}_{freq}.fits where ast_name is the asteroid name, array is the ACT array that produced the light curve, and freq is the ACT nominal frequency of observation (i.e., the frequency is uncorrected for the spectral shape of the source). “Weighting" refers to whether the data points have been weighted to correct for the observational geometry or not. See Equation 1 in Orlowski-Scherer 24. Each .fits file has a Time column, in units of unix time, Flux, in units of mJy, Flux Uncertainty, in units of mJy, and Weight, which is the aforementioned weight and is unitless. Full details on using this data can be found in Orlowski-Scherer 24 or by contacting Jack Orlowski-Scherer (jackorlowskischerer - at - gmail.com).
