SPTpol Data ProductsHi and Low Resolution Partial-Weight Map SubsetsDownload Links:
This page provides partial-weight map subsets (or “bundles”) from the SPTpol analysis presented by Chou et al. (2025). These are T/Q/U maps from subsets of the roughly 5000 individual maps that go into the full-weight coadds linked above. The observations are first divided into "lead-trail" and "full," based on the scanning strategy (see paper for details), then each lead-trail or full subset is divided into 50 bundles. The individual observations are bundled such that the total map weight per bundle is as uniform as possible. In addition, each bundle is split into a map made from left-going telescope scans only and a map made from right-going telescope scans only, to enable more semi-independent noise realizations. As with the full-weight coadds, high-resolution and low-resolution map bundles are stored separately. In all, there are 800 bundle maps (50 bundles x LT/full x 90/150 x left/right x hires/lowres) and 800 accompanying weight files. The file naming scheme is "bun" + "LT/full" + "iqumaps/weights" + "_" + "l/r" + {index} + "_" + "150ghz/90ghz" + ".fits.gz", and high and low resolution are in separate directories. The download page contains sets of map and weight files grouped by observation index for the high-resolution files. There are 20 .tar sets, each containing 40 .fits.gz map/weight files. The low-resolution files are provided in a single .tar download. If you have any questions regarding this data set or its use, please contact Jody T-L Chou (tlchou_at_uchicago_dot_edu). |
