ACT Data Products - Extragalactic Southern Sources Catalog

This is a catalog of extragalactic sources detected by the Atacama Cosmology Telescope at 150, 220, and 280 GHz for the 2008-2010 seasons along the southern surveys. Flux uncertainties for unresolved sources at 150, 220 and 280 GHz are roughly 3% 5% and 9%, respectively. For full information see Vargas et al. The act_southern_sources_v1_0.fits file is the catalog associated with the initial arXiv version of this work. There may be an updated version with final publication. The file is a Flexible Image Transport System (FITS) table. To inspect and manipulate the table, we recommend TOPCAT. To read the table into Python, use the astropy.io.fits object with the following commands:

The columns contain the following information:

Column Name Description
ID Source IAU designation.
ra Right ascension (J2000) in degrees.
ID Source IAU designation.
dec Declination (J2000) in degrees.
S_xxx_yyy Flux density Sm measured for a frequency array and season in mJy, where xxx specifies the frequency (150, 220 or 280) and yyy the season (2008, 2009, 2010 or coadd), up to 11 measurements per source.
snr_xxx_yyy Signal-to-noise ratio of the detection S/N.
sigma_xxx_yyy Uncertainty of the flux density σm in mJy.
mudb_xxx_yyy Flux density boosting μdb in mJy inferred from the simulations. Only available for detected sources.
sigmadb_xxx_yyy Standard deviation in the flux density σdb in mJy inferred from the simulations. Only available for detected sources.
sigmacal_xxx_yyy Uncertainty in the flux density σcal in mJy related to the calibration of each map.
alpha_150_220 Spectral index between 150 and 220 GHz α150
220
calculated using both fluxes from the season with the highest signal to noise.
alpha_220_280 Spectral index between 220 and 280 GHz α220

calculated using both fluxes from the season with the highest signal to noise.
Gtype Classification of the galaxy as synchrotron or dusty depending on α150

Counterparts External catalogs where a source has an spatial cross-match with an offset smaller than the association radius. (1) SUMSS, (2) PMN, (3) AT20 (4) IRAS, (5) WISE, (6) AKARI, (7) PCNT, (8) SPT, (9) ROSAT.
