For map-based comparisons of CLASS 40 GHz to previous measurements from other experiments, a process for simulating the effect of the CLASS mapping pipeline on these external data was developed. For a chosen experiment and frequency, the Q and U polarization maps were smoothed with a beam defined by the CLASS beam window function and the intrinsic beam of the map. The smoothed maps were projected into the time domain assuming the CLASS pointing model as though these synthetic time streams were the CLASS demodulated data. The full data selection, filtering, and mapping processes were then applied to the data to make so called reobserved maps.

Provided are reobserved WMAP DR5 (9-year) K-, Ka-, and Q-bands and the reobserved Planck PR4 (2020) 353 GHz map. Shorthand notation for a reobserved map prepends the name with “r”, e.g., rWMAP K-band or simply rK
