QUaD High-ell TT Data (Feb 2009)

If you just want to add the QUaD points to a plot here are simple files containing the bandpowers, errors and residual radio source correction for Pipeline A and Pipeline B.
NOTE: The estimated residual radio source correction has already been subtracted from the bandpowers in both those files.

The Full Data Release:

For this release we provide the data in a slightly modified (but fully backward-compatible) version of the ".newdat" format as used with CosmoMC. Because the uncertainties on our beams are not well described by an uncertainty in the effective FWHM, we explicitly provide the fractional uncertainties on the beam transfer function (Delta B_l^2/B_l^2) for each band power as an extra column in the data files. We provide a backward-compatible version of CosmoMC's cmbdata.F90 which can handle the modified ".newdat" format. The file is here.

Here are some notes describing the format.

The data is provided for two independent pipelines (you should only use one) at the two different frequencies. The bandpower correlations between 100 and 150 GHz are neglible (you can use both simultaneously).

NOTE: The estimated residual radio source correction has already been subtracted from the bandpowers in both pipelines' newdat files. Though the added fluctuation from the residual sources is negligible, Pipeline B does not explicitly simulate the radio source foreground and so this uncertainty is ONLY reflected in the Pipeline A covariance matrix. The source correction values can be found in the simple text files above.

This data release can (and should) be used in conjunction with the ell<2000 QUaD frequencey combined full temperature and polarization data release from Brown et al. arXiv:0906.1003 available here.

NOTE: Pipelines A/B in Friedman et al. correspond to Pipelines 2/1 in Brown et al.

Here are the data as .tar.gz files - download these into your cosmomc base directory, type e.g. "gunzip QUAD_pipelineA_2009_highelltt_100GHz.tar.gz", and then "tar xf QUAD_pipelineA_2009_highelltt_100GHz.tar". This will place the relevant files into the data and data/windows sub-directories:

Point Sources Detected at >5σ:

QUaD detects ~7 point sources at >5σ in both the 100 and 150 GHz maps, which are masked prior to calculating the bandpowers.
